United Kingdom—Royal Marines Headed To Persian Gulf To Protect British Shipping

The U.K. plans to deploy 100 Royal Marines to the Persian Gulf in response to recent suspected Iranian attacks on oil tankers in the region, reports the Washington Examiner. The marines will be designated Special Task Group 19 and responsible for protecting British civilian and military vessels in the Gulf.
